All Things Vintage

My Vintage Passion – From Bouquets to Décor
Vintage is everywhere today and to be honest who doesn’t love a bit of a vintage touch?
For me this means 3 things:
·         *Unique
·         *Style
·         *Inspired by a past era
Vintage style is perfect to incorporate into bridal bouquets and floral décor, after all the tradition of weddings and ‘the big white dress’ has remained in essence the same over time.

Vintage style is summed up by one of the true icons of a past era:
‘In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different’
‘Fashion fades, only style remains the same’
Coco Chanel

Bouquets
A lot of my work is inspired by the past and a drive to make something truly different and unique at the same time.

The 'Peachy Pearl Bouquet' features soft antique looking roses in muted shades of golden peach and is finished with pearl clusters – how very Chanel!

The Popular 'Cherry Vintage Bouquet' was recently ordered by a Bride for a 'Great Gatsby' themed wedding - now what is more vintage style than the roaring 20's - think pearls, feathers and elegance

Décor Inspiration
A favourite piece of decor designed by Cherry Blossom Bouquets – Antique gold birdcages filled with different shades of pink silk flowers and wrapped with pearls.

I loved the way my customer styled the arrangements in a marquee wedding celebration  - simple ivory drapes, chandeliers and a few birdcages have set the scene beautifully for a very special occasion.

How Best to Incorporate the Vintage theme into your occasion?

·         Make sure you use the best quality silk flowers your budget allows – this will add a touch of luxury and elegance

·         Make use of cut glass bowls and vases to display your flowers

·         Use feathers, pearls and tall candlesticks to add an extra dimension to your theme, but do remember to go easy on the feathers!

·         Muted colours always work best – soft ivory, peaches, pinks and lilacs will always look the part.

Much Love
